Treabar – "Genshin Impact": Controversy Surrounds Map Design and Plot

It seems that I share the same sentiment as many players. Just as the Fanchen main storyline was being relived, the Natha storyline has reached its conclusion, but I have not felt much of an impact. Many parts of the story are hard to remember, especially since the Natha version of Origin Story has clearly felt tedious. This has made me realize that Origin Story is now becoming less enjoyable to play. Have you noticed this as well?
Firstly, the map has become overly oppressive. The maps from the Mustha version were already criticized, and later, the official introduced layered maps, which indeed alleviated the pressure. However, since the Fanchen version, the map has become more careless. It has significantly increased the pressure on players, especially with the Waveland, which now features three layers of map. This is too much for players to handle.
While the oppressive map may be due to the consideration of players’ exploration desires, the decline in the quality of the story is not something to be overlooked. I had been expecting the story in the Natha version to improve, but that has not been the case. While the Fanchen version could still boast of Fennona to carry the scene, the Natha version has seen so many storylines that the main plot is now dull and lengthy, with some dialogues lasting for several minutes.
The main plot is already problematic, and the issue with the characters is even more significant. Many players have noticed that there are not many characters that can be featured in the main storyline, and many of these characters seem to be a result of the official’s forced inclusion. Without the shield monsters and the Natha bosses in the Abyss, many Natha characters might have already fallen apart. Few players would be interested in these characters, and the official seems to be pushing this.
The most critical issue, however, lies in the content. Many players have noticed that the world of Origin Story is becoming more complex in its exploration. The rewards for finding treasure chests are indeed more generous, but the problem is that the content is becoming more fragmented. It no longer has the saturation level of previous versions. Instead, it disperses the story across the entire world. This makes the storyline more coherent, but it also means that ordinary players do not have the strength to collect and investigate the story.
Lastly, the issue with the card pool’s attractiveness is the most crucial. The official has been implementing the strategy of strong five-star and weak four-star characters, so that if a character is not strong enough, they will be included in the card pool, forcing players to participate. For instance, because of my luck with drawing Ian-Shan, I ended up with Varesha. In such a situation, players are indeed suffering.
